ARPITA SINGH: Her language consists of an endless dictionary taking inspiration from all around, but especially from textiles, embroidery and the rich surfaces of traditional folk paintings. There is always an element of chance in her works. Her colours are bold and vibrant and her works hold in them a strong element of subversion. With radical views her richly ornamented surfaces act as marks of female sexuality, which Arpita proclaims proudly. She is one of the most radical and prominent artists today, fascinating all with her unique ideas and idiom. [2]
